The Daisy Collection: A Celebration of Simplicity
Some flowers demand attention.
Others quietly wait to be noticed.
For me, daisies have always belonged to the second category.
They are not rare or exotic. They do not possess the dramatic layers of a rose or the intricate structure of an orchid. Yet there is something undeniably joyful about them. They appear in wild meadows, along country paths and in forgotten corners of gardens, bringing a sense of lightness wherever they grow.
When I photographed the daisies that inspired this collection, I was drawn to the way they danced amongst the grasses. The soft summer light, delicate stems and bright centres seemed to glow against the surrounding landscape. There was a feeling of freedom and movement within the image that immediately caught my attention.
As I spent time editing the photograph, I found myself looking more closely at the flowers themselves.
The daisy is beautifully uncomplicated.
Its shape is instantly recognisable. A circle of delicate petals radiates from a bright centre, creating a natural balance that feels both elegant and effortless. The more I studied the flower, the more I began to appreciate its quiet perfection.
That observation became the starting point for the Daisy Collection.
Unlike the Hydrangea Collection, which focused on delicate veining and subtle colour transitions, the Daisy Collection celebrates simplicity. The designs embrace clean lines, balanced proportions and the timeless beauty of a flower that has brought joy to generations.
The collection includes a brooch, earrings, pendant and bracelet, each inspired by the same bloom. Gold-finish metal forms the structure of each piece, while natural diamonds and soft enamel details reflect the flower's bright centre and delicate petals.
What I enjoyed most during the design process was preserving the daisy's sense of lightness.
The flower never feels formal or complicated. It carries with it memories of summer meadows, childhood afternoons and simple moments spent outdoors. I wanted the collection to capture that same feeling of ease and optimism.
Photography often encourages us to seek out extraordinary subjects, but sometimes the most inspiring ideas come from the familiar things we see every day.
The Daisy Collection reminded me that beauty does not need to be complicated.
Sometimes it can be found in the simplest forms.
A single flower.
A field of wild blooms.
A fleeting moment of sunlight.
What began as a photograph became a sketch.
The sketch became a concept.
And the concept became a collection.
Perhaps that is one of the reasons I continue to return to photography. It teaches me to look more closely at the world around me and discover inspiration in places I might otherwise overlook.
The Daisy Collection is a celebration of that idea — a reminder that some of the most beautiful things are often the simplest.
Next week, I'll be sharing the Rose Collection, inspired by one of nature's most timeless and romantic flowers, and exploring how layers, texture and elegance shaped the next chapter of the Botanical Collection.
